Accessibility Statement
Digital Accessibility
IHK Foreign Skills Approval (IHK FOSA) is actively committed to a barrier-free internet that is fully accessible to all people, regardless of individual limitations. Our goal is to provide a website that not only meets the technical requirements of accessibility, but also enables intuitive and comfortable use for everyone.
Since digital accessibility is an ongoing process, we continuously review and optimize our website. We regularly analyze potential barriers, adapt existing content, and implement improvements to continuously increase accessibility and user-friendliness. Our goal is to offer all users an inclusive and enjoyable online experience.
How accessible is our website?
Our website www.ihk-fosa.de is largely accessible. Most technical requirements are met and comply with the provisions of EU Directive 2016/2102 and standard EN 301 549.
Which areas are not yet accessible?
Some content currently still has barriers, including:
1. Alternative texts & labels
Alternative texts are sometimes missing for controls, graphics and objects.
Labels for form fields are not always correct or clearly assigned.
Input fields do not clearly convey their purpose in a language-independent manner.
Some link texts and headings are not meaningful; there are also empty heading elements.
2. Structure & order
The heading hierarchy is not always correctly adhered to.
Some structural elements are not used as intended.
The order of content and control elements is illogical or inconsistent in places.
Areas are not sufficiently marked up with HTML5 structural elements.
Keyboard operation shows deviations in the order.
3. Perceptibility & Contrast
Some texts have insufficient contrast.
The contrast is also insufficient in some graphical user interface elements.
Content may be displayed incorrectly during page breaks.
Moving content cannot be deactivated.
4. Usability & navigation
The page cannot be used without a mouse.
There is at least one keyboard trap.
Alternative access methods are missing.
The focus is not clearly visible for some elements or is covered by other elements.
The current document title is not clear.
5. Language & semantic errors
Foreign language words/sections are not marked.
Syntax errors in the code impair accessibility.
The name, role and value of elements are not always specified in full.
6. User-defined settings
Users' own customisations can cause certain buttons to disappear.
We are continuously working to remove existing barriers.
This accessibility statement is based on an assessment by Medialen GmbH (www.diemedialen.de), taking into account the above guidelines and the WCAG 2.1 success criteria.
