To this end, the project recruits qualified skilled workers with professional experience from abroad who wish to live and work in Germany on a long-term basis and connects them together with German companies. The joint project of the Federal Employment Agency (BA) and DIHK Service GmbH is funded by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection (BMWK). Focus of "Hand in Hand for International Talents": ### - **Recruitment of skilled workers** with vocational training from Brazil, India, Vietnam and the Philippines - **Supporting companies** from the IHK regions of Chemnitz, Cottbus, Dresden, Düsseldorf, Erfurt, Essen, Karlsruhe, Lübeck, Lüneburg-Wolfsburg, Magdeburg, Munich and Upper Bavaria, Offenbach, East Brandenburg, Potsdam, Reutlingen and Rostock - The project is looking for skilled workers with professional qualifications in the following **IHK professions**: - Professions in electrical operating technology - Professions in electronics - Professions in building electrics - Professions in mechatronics and automation technology - Hotel and gatsronomy professions - Professions in metalworking and metal production - **International network of strong cooperation partners** - Within the project "Hand in Hand for International Talents", the Chamber of Industry and Commerce organisation and the Federal Employment Agency cooperate in an international context with contacts all over the world. - Chambers of Industry and Commerce (IHK) and the Employer Service of the Federal Employment Agency (AGS) recruit companies in the regions for the project and are their first point of contact. They support the process of integrating the immigrant skilled workers. - Chambers of Commerce Abroad (AHK) in Brazil, India, Vietnam and the Philippines recruit suitable skilled workers and guide them through the process together with the International Placement Services (ZAV) of the Federal Employment Agency, including the recognition of professional qualifications and the visa procedure. - IHK Foreign Skills Approval (IHK FOSA) examines the eligibility for recognition of the professional qualifications of applicants from third countries for IHK professions of the "Hand in Hand for International Talents" project and is the contact point for the entire recognition process for the individual professions during the course of the project. - The Federal Employment Agency organises palcement between companies and potential skilled workers, provides support with the visa process and other necessary bureaucratic preparations for immigration. The BMBF-funded project is coordinated and managed by DIHK Service GmbH in close cooperation with the Association of German Chambers of Industry and Commerce (DIHK). ### Since 2015 Chambers of Commerce Abroad have established themselves as contact and advice centres for the recognition of professional qualifications from abroad. At selected AHK locations, foreign skilled workers receive individual advice on professional recognition and support with the application process. The project was initiated by the German Chamber of Industry and Commerce (DIHK) and the National Confederations of skilled crafts (ZDH) and is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). UBA is a point of contact and guide for employers who require information on the topic of professional recognition and related questions regarding the entry and employment of international skilled workers from third countries. With its work, UBA strengthens the successful immigration of skilled labour by presenting complex processes in a transparent and comprehensible manner and in language that companies can understand, and by offering concrete support services for companies. ---
